MEGA EXCLUSIVE: Kabir Khan approaches Salman Khan with Babbar Sher

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are two of the most celebrated names of Indian Cinema, who have worked together on blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Over the years, there has been demand for the duo's union on a feature film and Bollywood Hungama has exclusive dope that it could indeed happen very soon.

Our highly-placed sources confirm that Kabir Khan has pitched a script close to his heart to Salman Khan. "Kabir feels that the character suits no one but Salman. There are people around who are trying to push other stars to play the part, but Kabir is firm on Salman being his first choice for this feature film," a source told Bollywood Hungama.

Kabir has already met Salman a couple of times and more meetings are expected to take place this month. "Salman too is excited by the idea. The script is titled Babbar Sher and if Salman agrees to do the film, it will mark the 4th collaboration of Salman and Kabir after Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight," the source told us further.

For those unaware, Salman and Kabir have met once each in the month of November & December to discuss the basic idea. Kabir has promised Salman to come back with the complete script by January end. The final decision on the same is expected to be taken by both Salman and Kabir in the next 45 days but we do hope for a reunion as Salman and Kabir will definitely make for an unbeatable combo.

Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh unite for Manish Malhotra's production Ul Jalool Ishq

Kicking off the New Year on a big note, designer Manish Malhotra has announced his third production Ul Jalool Ishq under his banner Stage5 Productions. The announcement was made on January 2, 2024. Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sharib Hashmi, the film will be directed by Vibhu Puri with Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar’s involvement in the project. The shooting for the film commences on January 9.

Manish took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to share a few photos of the cast and wrote, “Bewakoofiyan, Nadan galtiyan, badi bhool hai ishq; Sach Poochiye toh mere huzoor ul jalool hai ishq! I am so happy to announce Stage5 Production's third film production. A beautiful film, Ul Jalool Ishq, written and directed by Vibhu Puri, starts shooting on January 9 with this supremely talented cast: Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sharib Hashmi. It is an honour to work with Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj, produced by Dinesh Malhotra.”

Last year, Manish Malhotra announced two of his productions. One is Bun Tikki which features veteran actors Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi, along with Abhay Deol. It is being directed by Faraz Arif Ansari. The second project is Train from Chhapraula, marking the directorial debut of Tisca Chopra. The film features Sharat Saxena and Radhika Apte in lead roles. REVEALED: Orhan Awatramani aka Orry charges between Rs. 24 lakhs and Rs. 42 lakhs approx. for brand collaborations and Rs. 56,000 to Rs. 1.66 lakhs approx. for social media posts

One of the biggest newsmakers of 2023 was undoubtedly Orhan Awatramani aka Orry. He came to notice after he was spotted clicking pictures with almost every Bollywood celebrity. His stint on ‘Bigg Boss 17’ added to his popularity. There’s also a mystery about what he does for a living, further making him a talking point. He also remained in the news for his "I live…I am a liver" statement and after controversy erupted when he called Shruti Haasan ‘rude’. As expected, Orry is making great use of his fame and is charging extensively for public events and also for digital brand collaborations.

Usually, celebs are wary of revealing how much they charge for appearances. Orry is an exception. On ‘Bigg Boss 17’, he admitted that his fees are Rs. 20 to 30 lakhs per event. In an interview with HT City on December 25, made it clear unlike other stars, the ‘Orry presence’, that he’ll provide, will make it memorable for guests.

He said, “I charge this amount as the cover fee for an event. When you invite me to your party, you’re not getting a performer. You’re getting a celebrity. Orry has come as a friend. I’ll come, stay for the whole party or till when I decide to leave, meet everyone as if I’m your friend and take pictures with guests. So, I’m not charging Rs. 20 lakhs for selfies, it’s for that night. You bought into the concept of Orry being at your party.”

In another article, in The Economic Times dated December 20, 2023, it was reported that the spike in Orry’s popularity and collaborations with globally well-known brands such as Netflix, Bumble and Cred has added to his credibility. As per Nick Baklanov, research specialist at influencer marketing platform, HypeAuditor, Orry’s collaborations cost $30,000 to $50,000, which is between Rs. 24 lakhs and Rs. 41.66 lakhs approx.

As for social media, an Instagram post on Orry’s feed costs about $670 to $2000, that is, Rs. 55,900 to Rs. 1.66 lakhs approx. The report further stated that for an Instagram story, he charges brands between $300 to $1,000 (Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 83,400 approx). As of January 2, 2024, Orry has 8,76,000 followers on Instagram.

Fighter director Siddharth Anand dismisses runtime rumors; says, “Real run time is under 2 hours…”

Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has put an end to rumours swirling around the runtime of his upcoming action epic, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Amidst speculation that the film might clock in at a hefty three hours, Anand took to social media to clarify, "Fighter run time rumors. Real run time is under 2 hours 40 minutes."

The makers recently unveiled the film's adrenaline-pumping teaser, showcasing Hrithik as a fighter pilot soaring through the skies and Deepika alongside him, both portraying dedicated Air Force officers. The glimpse, packed with aerial stunts and patriotic fervour, left audiences roaring for more.

Fighter, presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures, boasts real Sukhois, Indian fighter planes, adding authenticity to the action sequences. Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi also star in pivotal roles.

This marks Hrithik and Deepika's first on-screen collaboration, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film. Hrithik and Siddharth Anand have previously delivered hits like Bang Bang and War, while Deepika and Anand collaborated on Pathaan.

Earlier, Siddharth had said in a statement as quoted by news agency PTI, “The teaser launch is an exciting prelude to the spectacle we aim to bring to the screen. It's just a fraction of the drama and intensity that the movie encapsulates.” He further added, “This glimpse hints at the meticulous craft, from the exhilarating aerial sequences to the powerful performances by our talented cast.
