Cinemas to celebrate Pathaan Week from February 20 to 23, to show the film only at Rs 110

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has been ruling the box office right from the time its advance bookings were opened last month. The spy action film, which is directed by Siddharth Anand, recently crossed the Rs 500 crores nett mark in India and is now all set to reach Rs 1000 crores gross worldwide. To celebrate this feat, theatre owners across India have decided to hold Pathaan Week from February 20 to 23 by showing the film for only Rs 110. The makers had already slashed the ticket prices to Rs 110 for the film’s fourth weekend (till today). Now the same will continue for the weekdays as well. Sharing the news, Rohan Malhotra, Vice President, Distribution, YRF, said, “2023 has started extremely well not just for YRF with Pathaan but also for the entire exhibition circuit and we couldn’t be happier. The biggest all-time blockbuster Pathaan, which is the latest offering from Aditya Chopra’s YRF Spy Universe, has been entertaining audiences globally since its release and it is amazing that all the leading multiplex chains are coming together to celebrate the contribution of this film towards the Hindi film industry.” He added, “It is going to be Pathaan Week across these participating cinemas with tickets priced at flat Rs 110. This is a celebration of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, YRF, Siddharth Anand and also the YRF Spy Universe that is churning out the biggest action spectacles that India has ever seen and is setting new benchmarks and records with every film!” As shared by the makers, Pathaan saw a jump in numbers in India on its fourth Saturday (yesterday) by earning Rs 3.32 crore nett. This happened at a party that Netflix hosted for Sarandos on Saturday night. An invitee reports, “Karan Johar conducted a 15-minute interview with Ted. Karan’s questions were all improvised and so were all of Ted’s answers. They spoke about the Hindi film industry and its changing dynamics and economics. They also did a photoshoot together.” Why has this talk not being made public as yet? Shehzada star Kartik Aaryan gets challan for leaving car in ‘no parking’ zone during Siddhivinayak visit, Mumbai Police tease him saying ‘Don't do the 'Bhool'’

Following almost a month of promotions, Shehzada released in theatres on Friday. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, it is a Hindi remake of the Telugu superhit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. On the day of the film’s release, Kartik visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai to seek blessings for his film. However, the actor got in trouble with the traffic laws. As per a report in ANI, Mumbai traffic police booked a challan in Kartik Aaryan’s name for parking his car in the ‘no parking’ zone. The Mumbai Traffic Police shared the photo of his car on their Twitter page with a caption that read, “Problem? Problem yeh thi ki the car was parked on the wrong side! Jaideep Ahlawat felt bad about An Action Hero’s failure at the box office: ‘I felt yeh galat hai’

Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who has worked on projects like Raazi, Paatal Lok, and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar among others, was most recently seen in An Action Hero starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. However, the film didn't work at the box office back in December 2022 but found a new life on Netflix. Ahlawat has said that he felt angry about this and thought that it was wrong that it didn't fare well at the box office. When asked if the film didn't get its due credit, Jaideep Ahlawat told Indian Express, “Yes, I definitely feel that. I feel a little bad for Anirudh (Iyer) also, he is a first-time director and he is an amazing filmmaker and an amazing human being. So I felt a little bad for him, the film also and for me, I felt yeh galat hai.” He said, “And then when the film came on OTT, everybody watched and loved it. I felt a little angry also. People (after watching it on OTT) wrote how they wished they had watched the film in theatres. Everybody who watched it in theatres or on OTT loved the film. I haven’t come across anyone who said yeh kya bakwaas film hai (what nonsense this is). It feels weird, I was like yeh samajh nahi aaya aise kyun hua (I don’t know what went wrong). It was a Bollywood masala film with so many things in it. There were so many factors in it, so many little social issues were addressed in the film. We told the story in a good way, but it showed yeh sab aapke aas paas ho raha hai (this is all happening in your immediate surrounding).” Meanwhile, Jaideep Ahlawat has Sujoy Ghosh's adaptation of the Japanese novel Devotion Of Suspect X with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan makeup artist hospitalised after a leopard attack at Filmcity in Mumbai

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are currently shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. It will be an out-n-out action entertainer and is expected to be mounted on a huge scale. The film will have Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist. It was reported on Friday that the makeup artist Shravan Vishwakarma on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was hospitalised in Mumbai after he was attacked by a leopard. Makeup artist Shravan Vishwakarma was reportedly on his bike and had gone to drop his friend when his bike collided with a leopard. Talking about the incident, he told Aaj Tak, “I had come to drop my friend from the bike. It was a little further from the shoot location and a pig crossed the road. I thought of getting out of here quickly. As soon as I increased the speed of the bike, I saw that a leopard was running after the pig. My bike collided with the leopard. After that, all I remember is that I fell from the bike and the leopard was roaming around me, then I don't remember anything. I had been unconscious. Later people probably came and took me to the doctor." The cost of his hospital bills has been taken care of by the production house. Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment present Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in association with AAZ films. The film is written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar. The Pooja Entertainment production is set to release in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on Christmas 2023.
