Aayush Sharma’s luxury car meets with an accident in Mumbai: Report

Actor Aayush Sharma's luxury car was involved in an accident at Khar Gym Khana, Mumbai. While Aayush himself was not present in the vehicle at the time, the incident has raised concerns about safety on the city streets, particularly people driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to a report by Zoom, Aayush's driver was on his way to a fuel station when the collision occurred. A drunk driver in another vehicle unexpectedly rammed into Aayush's car, causing significant damage. Fortunately, Aayush's driver escaped the incident unharmed.

The actor has not yet responded to the news of the accident.

Speaking of the professional front, Aayush Sharma made his Bollywood debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Loveyatri. He then went on to star alongside Salman Khan in the action thriller Antim: The Final Truth. Aayush currently has the film Ruslaan lined up for release in 2024.

Rhea Chakraborty granted temporary permission to travel to Dubai: Report

In a recent development, actress Rhea Chakraborty, one of the individuals accused in the drug case related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, has been granted permission to travel to Dubai for six days. Following a plea submitted by her lawyer, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court on December 13 directed the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to return her passport, facilitating her travel plans, according to a report by Times Of India.

Chakraborty's approved travel dates span from December 27th, 2023, to January 2nd, 2024. As stipulated by the court order, she must surrender her passport back to the NCB on or before January 4, 2024.

This temporary authorization marks the first instance of Chakraborty being permitted to travel abroad since the investigation into the high-profile case commenced. It's crucial to note that Chakraborty's legal proceedings in the Sushant Singh Rajput case are ongoing. Chakraborty's case has received extensive media coverage and public scrutiny since its inception in 2020.

Speaking of the professional front, the 31-year-old actress’ last big screen project was a Telugu-language film, Super Machi. Besides that, she is lately making headlines for being one of the leaders at the popular MTV show, Roadies.

AbRam Khan gives iconic Shah Rukh Khan pose during Dhirubhai Ambani International School annual day, watch

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's son AbRam’s performance at Dhirubhai Ambani International School's annual day event has become the talk of the town. For the unversed, during his skit, AbRam struck Shah Rukh's signature open-arms pose. The event was held on Friday in Mumbai.

The video of the same has gone viral on the internet. AbRam Khan is seen in a Medieval-inspired outfit. When he told his fellow performers, “Give me a hug, I love hugs,” and struck the iconic Shah Rukh pose, the tune of 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Jayenge' played in the background. Coming to the professional front, the 57-year-old actor is currently awaiting the release of Dunki. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, it is slated to release on December 21. Along with Khan, the forthcoming flick also stars Taapsee Pannu. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal will be seen playing an important role in the film. Notably, it will be clashing with Prabhas’ Salaar, which is scheduled to release on December 22. Shah Rukh and Prabhas will be clashing for the second time.

Bengali singer Anup Ghoshal passed away at 77 in south Kolkata

Renowned Bengali singer Anup Ghosal, who is widely known for the ‘Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi’ track from Masoom, died on Friday. Ghoshal was 77. He is survived by two daughters.

As per a report by PTI, he had been hospitalised for the past several days at a private hospital in south Kolkata for old age ailments. He passed away due to multi-organ failure at 1.40 pm.

Reacting to the news, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “I express my deep grief and condolence over the death of Anup Ghosal who had sung in Bengali, Hindi and other languages.”

Speaking of his career, Ghoshal lent his voice to several Satyajit Ray’s musical films. In fact, he won the 1981 National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the Bengali film Hirak Rajar Deshe. In addition, the playback singer had sung Kaji Nazrul Islam, Rabindranath Tagore and modern Bengali songs.

Besides a prolific music career, he had successfully contested the 2011 assembly polls from Uttarpara seat on the Trinamool Congress ticket.

Team of Sunny Singh starrer Risky Romeo wraps shoot after one and a half months in Kolkata

Team of actor Sunny Singh’s upcoming neo-noir comic tragedy Risky Romeo wrapped its filming after a marathon shoot of one and a half months in Kolkata, the makers announced on Saturday December 15.

The film is written and directed by Abir Sengupta, who had previously directed Kiara Advani starrer Indoo Ki Jawani and produced Radhika Apte starrer Mrs. Undercover. Risky Romeo, also co-starring Kriti Kharbanda, was announced earlier this year

Actor Sunny Singh said he feels “extremely fulfilled” wrapping up the shoot and credited Risky Romeo for offering him a character that had never come his way before.

Sunny said in a statement, “I usually do not get offered characters like this and only when I started shooting I realised what Abir had seen in me and offered me such a different character. The genre of this film is completely unexplored in our industry and it’s a bold step towards showcasing emotions in a very different way. And the city that Abir has chosen to film Risky Romeo is adding to the magic of the story. I cannot wait for the audiences to experience what we experienced while shooting the film.”

Writer-director Abir Sengupta said the sets of Risky Romeo had a “totally different vibe” thanks to its subject and the treatment. The filmmaker also revealed that the actors in the film will feature in a look which the audience has “never seen before.”

Said Abir, “That is also something I am extremely excited to present to the audiences. I love the way Sunny and Kriti have responded to the kind of treatment I have given to the film and that is really adding up to the madness. While we wrapped the shoot of our film, me and my whole team missed Kriti on the sets as she wrapped her shoot a few days ago. We had a one and half month long shooting schedule in Kolkata where we all became a part of one family working towards a common goal called Risky Romeo.”

Producers Anushree Mehta (Jaadugar Films), Priyanka Mehrotra and Rameshchadra Yadav (PR Motion Pictures) said in a joint statement that while the team was prepping for the shoot, they were anticipating something strikingly different and once the camera started rolling in Kolkata, even they were in for a treat.

“Sunny and Kriti are totally in sync with Abir. He has given the film a very different treatment and we are returning from the shoot as happy producers with some amazing footage in hand. We cannot wait for the audiences to experience and madness and magic that we have created,” they said.

Shreyas Talpade in stable condition post heart attack, confirms wife Deepti Talpade

Actor Shreyas Talpade, who is a well-known star in Hindi and Marathi cinema, suffered a cardiac arrest on December 14, 2023, after returning home after the Welcome To The Jungle shoot. The actor was rushed to the hospital immediately and an angioplasty was performed. Now, his wide Deepti has confirmed that Shreyas Talpade is out of danger and on the road to recovery.

In a statement shared on Friday morning, December 15, Deepti Shreyas Talpade said, “Dear Friends & Media. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming concern and well wishes following the recent health scare my husband experienced. I'm relieved to update everyone that he is now in stable condition and will be discharged in a few days. The medical team's exceptional care and timely response have been instrumental during this time, and we are grateful for their expertise. We kindly request respect for our privacy as he continues his recovery. Your unwavering support has been a tremendous source of strength for both of us.”

On Thursday night, a source told Hindustan Times, “He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way.” The publication quoted a staff member from the hospital saying, “Shreyas Talpade is admitted. He was brought late in the evening. His health update is awaited.”
